During a recent visit to Larkin Community Hospital Dr. Rensso Vertiz associate clinical professor in Endodontics at Universidad de Ciencias Aplicadas in Lima, Peru introduced the new research project to the AEGD residents at Borinquen Medical Center. The project will consist of a clinical comparative study to assess different treatment modalities for the treatment of chronic apical periodontitis in different settings. The study will be conducted in collaboration with 3 universities in Europe, 3 dental schools in South America and 2 centers in the United States, including Larkin Community Hospital.
