Larkin Community Hospital has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire several Imaging Centers which have been operating  for the past 12 years under the name “Virtual Imaging” under the exceptional leadership of Mr. Juan Puig.  Mr. Puig informed all Virtual Imaging employees of this event. His entire staff (composed of 150 employees and 10 Board Certified Radiologists practicing in various specialties) is very enthusiastic and excited about joining the Larkin Family.

     Larkin is currently in the process of integrating the centers into its network and over the next few weeks Larkin hope to achieve full integration.

    This acquisition will allow the hospital to provide lower cost diagnostic services to managed care organizations under Virtual Imaging’s current agreements at the centers while maintaining high quality of care and will significantly expand Larkin's geographic footprint in Miami-Dade County. The centers accept all insurances and offer free transportation. Also Larkin plans to open Urgent Care centers at some of these locations. These combined efforts will allow Larkin to become very competitive in preparation for the implementation of the Affordable Care Act (also known as Obama Care).
