Larkin Community Hospital Behavioral Health Services held its grand opening on May 15th, inaugurating the organization's expansion to Broward County.  The 50-bed facility offers treatment for many different mental health conditions, including detox with a co-occuring condition.

"We are thrilled to offer patients a quality, compassionate option for mental health care in Hollywood, Florida," says Iris Berges, CEO of Larkin Community Hospital Behavioral Health Services.  "We have done a lot of work to the facility at 1201 North 37th Avenue, and hope that our patients can find the healing experience they need with us." In addition to being a designated Baker Act receiving facility, Larkin participates in SAMHSA's Trauma-Informed Care Initiative in which staff is specially trained to help patients who have experienced trauma.

 

The facility also offers a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) to patients who benefit from extra support as they transition back to family and community life.
