We Won 1st & 2nd Place in the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association (FOMA) Poster Competition!

Larkin Community Hospital is happy to announce that we won first place in the FOMA poster competition held over the weekend in Westin, FL. We won the first place in the 3 prizes allotted for resident poster projects.

1^stPrize Winner: Dr. Abraham, DO OGME-5, mentored by Dr. Masri, MD, Department Chair of General Surgery Residency at Larkin Community Hospital for the Poster entitled: “Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy in Situs Inversus Totalis with Post-ERCP Pancreatitis & Masri-Larkin Syndrome: A Novel Diagnosis.”

2nd Prize Winner: Naseem Alexa Jahdi, DO, Rheumatology Fellow, Larkin Community Hospitalfor the poster entitled “A Case Report: Atypical Presentation of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus-Related Transverse Myelitis.”

We had a huge presence in this regional competition; 12 of the 55 total posters accepted for participation were from Larkin Community Hospital residents. Congratulations to our residents on their remarkable achievements!
