Dr. Jose A. Fernandez Chavez is a Hematology/Oncology Specialist in South Miami, Florida. He graduated with honors in 1990 and has more than 35 years of experience. Dr. Fernandez Chavez completed his medical degree at the Higher Institute of Medical Sciences of Villa Clara in Cuba. He later completed his Internal Medicine residency at San Juan City Hospital from July 2003 to June 2006 and went on to complete a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the same institution from July 2007 to June 2010. He is board certified in both Medical Oncology and Hematology.
